本書以賽夏族語、中文和英文搭配手繪圖編製成冊，傳承部落耆老自身所體驗的傳統祭儀。透過作者趙山河的圖說，除了激發年輕一輩的族群能瞭解部落重要的祭儀，也能向世人傳達臺灣原住民重要的傳統文化保存。期望本書未來能實現應用在部落母語、文化的傳承和環境教育上，連接賽夏族歷史傳統的認同感，邁向國家公園與賽夏族部落共建永續發展的目標。
