Book Description |
|
Taiwan Art History Dictionary 1.0 includes important art figures, groups, institutions, events, etc. in Taiwan from the Ming and Qing Dynasties to the present, with a total of 200 entries and more than 180 color pictures. Each entry ranges from 550 to 850 words. This dictionary is based on the principle of being concise and easy to read, and is expected to provide readers with basic information as a basis for understanding Taiwanese art. The introduction "An Introduction to the Development of Taiwan's Art" compiles the collected entries into historical narratives to help readers grasp the overview. The content of the dictionary includes five major categories: people, groups, institutions, events and concepts. They are sorted according to the strokes of their names, and the pictures follow the text. This dictionary also has appendices such as an index and a brief history of relevant art schools for reference. As the first dictionary focusing on Taiwanese art, "Taiwan Art History Dictionary 1.0" is of great significance. The writing team hopes to inspire others, arouse resonance, and inspire enthusiasm for the development of local art. At the same time, version 1.0 marks the important beginning of "Taiwanese Fine Arts", not the end. Taiwan has a diverse history and culture, and we look forward to evolutionary versions such as 2.0 or 3.0 in the future to more fully present its richness and depth.
