Book Description
Tamsui-Kavalan Trails (TKT) is the most popular ancient trails in northern Taiwan. This book manifests the historical background of natural discovery of two official routes during Chin Dynasty and Japanese colonial periods, one from Ruifang to Dali, and the other from Shenkeng to Jiaosi. Adding the surrounding Pinxi, Jington, Wantan and Peishi Riber’s dry ditch into the picture, it would present an even more comprehensive story of the whole area. Other than nature, history and transportation, tourism and literature were integrated into the book.
This book is divided into 33 segments, from tree fem’s feather-like leaves, secret garden of obtusifolia, crawling hemiphaedusa montuosa, hidden face of Taiwan Keteleeria, to coupled dipteris’ broken umbrella. In the world of TKT, there are so many untold stories from which we were able to see the legendary Takiya Kawakami, George Mackay and many other unsung heroes.
Returning to the forest with refreshing memory would reignite your devotion and passion to the nature. The Santiago Hills remain very think and the whereabout of raspberry is still unknown, but their soul would reunite eventually along the ancient trails.
